Website Availability & Status Checker
Verify real-time HTTP/HTTPS reachability, server response status codes, and origin availability for any public domain or IP address.
Notice
Website status check for example.io timed out or could not reach an active HTTP/HTTPS server.
- The remote host may be offline, firewalled, or blocking automated inspection requests
- The server took longer than 10 seconds to respond, exceeding the query timeout threshold
- Verify that DNS records for this hostname are responding and that an HTTP/HTTPS service is listening on port 80 or 443
HTTP Status Code Classes
HTTP response codes indicate whether a web server is reachable and serving requests normally: 2xx indicates success, 3xx indicates redirection, 4xx indicates client/resource errors, and 5xx indicates origin server or gateway failures.
DNS vs. Origin Reachability
When a website appears unreachable, the root cause may be either failed DNS resolution (missing A/AAAA records or expired domain registration) or an unresponsive web server on ports 80 and 443.
Redirect Verification
The status checker safely follows up to 3 redirect hops (such as HTTP to HTTPS or apex to www) while validating resolved destination IP addresses against SSRF and rebinding risks.
